How Does A Roulette Table Work?
Since the roulette has two main forms, European and American ones, they have several differences between them. One of such differences is the roulette wheel, and another is table layout. The main difference between roulette wheels is in the sequence and quantity of numbers on them, because while European roulette has one zero, American has two and the numbers on it are situated in pairs.
The principle of the roulette table is the same for all types, but it has a different layout. The table itself is covered with a green layout divided on boxes for making bets. At the end or in the middle of the table there is a roulette wheel. The roulette wheel has the same numbers as the layout according to the type of the roulette. Correspondingly, they have the same colors. Zero numbers, and bow for them on the table are green. As well as the red and black numbers. Black numbers include 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 33 and 35. Red numbers consist of the 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 32, 34 and 36.
According to the types of bets roulette has, the layout consist of two parts. The part with boxes of numbers is made for Inside bets and the part made for so-called Outside bets. Since with Inside bets everything is clear, let's discuss Outside ones. They include such bets as Column (12 numbers), Dozen (12 numbers), Low (18 numbers), High (18 numbers), Red (18 numbers), Black (18 numbers), Even (18 numbers) and Odd (18 numbers). For Column Bet one should place the chip below the last number of the line you bet. It means you bet on the line starting with 1 and ending with 34. For Dozen Bet you may place a chip on the box signed "1st 12", "2nd 12" or "3rd 12" and bet the numbers from 1 to 12, from 13 to 24 and from 25 to 36 correspondingly. Red and Black Bets mean you bet on any win in case of any red or any black number. Even and Odd bets have the same principle. Low Bet includes numbers from 1 to 18, and High Bet - from 19 to 36.
There may be also a special place for so-called French bets, which come from the first variant of the Roulette, considered as a French one. These bets may be called also announced or call bets, but in fact it is more often an exception than a rule if you meet such layout in any casino. Indeed, it is used anymore neither in online casino nor in the land house.
In online roulette you may see also a mini variant of roulette table with the shorter quantity of numbers and due to them the smaller layout on the 12 numbers.
